For all who give their lives with love
What it means to be fathers, daughters, midwives, rivers

This week we ask God’s blessing on all who give their lives with a father’s love.
- has a powerful series right now on being the daughter of a deported immigrant (part 1, part 2, part 3). I urge you to read her words—with compassion and the clarion call of this urgent moment.
Got to hear Robert MacFarlane this week, one of my favorite nature writers. (The NYT calls him "a naturalist who can unfurl a sentence with the breathless ease of a master angler," which is 100% true.) His new book Is A River Alive? now tops my towering nightstand. But Underland and Landmarks will be hard to beat. Please tell me someone else is obsessed with his writing, too.
Grateful for the chance to share our family’s story with midwives and Children’s Hospital of Minnesota.
Look. I am the world’s most reluctant influencer. But if I find something that makes life easier, I will share it. For example: I hate shopping. And when you’re short, it’s hard to find clothes that fit. My sister told me about Short Story, and I loved it: a shopping service for petite sizes. If you want to check it out, this link will let you try for free. (Also, it’s called SHORT STORY, c’mon.)

I’m a Robert MacFarlane fan! Have you read his children’s book, The Lost Words?
Outstanding offerings of thought 🙏🙏;;;thankyou
